A Modern Beachside Estate

Description:
Every aspect of environmental design was considered in the development of this home. The expansive ocean views, the courtyard privacy and shade, the upper awning window band allowing cross ventilation, the use of photo-voltaic panels all contribute to a sleek, elegant modern home.

Sophisticated cabinetry, bold geometric bathrooms, travertine floors throughout, rich wood door systems and an 80' lap pool with a vanishing edge combine together to form a powerful, strong understated architecture.

An Elegant Craftsman Cottage

Description:
This charming cottage is juxtaposed with a small studio on the same lot. The cottage style embraces a variety of elements and details that include double pitched roofs, Dutch gables, double-hung mullioned windows and doors, corbels and rock wainscots. These features are echoed in the studio as well as in the cottage.

The house design completely solves every aspect of cooling and ventilation that parallels the 'green' in Hawaiian Design yet enwrapping itself with very contextual and historical forms.

A Historic Honolulu Renovation

Description:
This historic Hawaiian Home was originally built in 1928. The newly added garage flows into an inviting kitchen with custom cabinets and beautifully tiled floors. The rest of the house contains custom windows and doors which maintains the historic integrity of this Hawaiian Home. Custom tile work, cabinets, and roof details are showcased around every corner.

Throughout the house each room was remodeled to balance historic character with the modern amenities a Hawaiian home deserves. Restored windows, doors, and wood along with the use of energy efficient appliances and sustainable lumber allow this house and the environment live in harmony.

A Hillside Retreat

Location: Lanikai, Hawaii

Description:
This 6500sf hillside home, designed as a spec-home, incorporating traditional plantation themes, maximizes panoramic ocean views as well as capturing the full spread of the trade winds.

Incorporated throughout the residence are general covered lanais, high open ceilings, exotic wood floors and carved door systems.

Other features include a dramatic kitchen, a hoist connecting the upper and lower floors, mezzanines and den areas for a gym and media use, a lap pool with a spa and play areas and characterful space.

A Delicate Remodel

Status: Completed October 2008
Location: Kailua, Hawaii

Description:
This beautiful home in Kailua is true remodel. An expanded Master bedroom with walk in closet adjoins perfectly with a new master bathroom covered wall to wall with stone. This leads to a fabulously lengthened open kitchen and dining room. This open room extends down to spacious living room with rich Merbau floors.

From the family room you are invited to the covered lanai. This lanai allows for easy access to the refreshing waters of a curved swimming pool or the warming bubbles in the hot tub. The additional tea room in the back corner of the property creates a resort feel with the beautifully landscaped backyard.
